Hello and thank you for stopping by!
I'm Cade, a senior Game Design Major with a minor in Computer Science and Information Systems at Bradley University. Since I first started using Scratch and Hopscotch in 2015, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in technology. Video Games combine stories, programming, art, music, sound, and more in a meaningful way that brings people together. They are a form of art to share stories and a tool to aid with learning.
Over the course of my four years at Bradley University, I have worked as a programmer, programming lead, team lead, producer, designer, and sound designer/composer. I have learned a lot from each team, but the best parts of teamwork are learning from one another and finding people as excited to work on projects as I am.
In addition to developing games and programs, I am actively involved in multiple student organizations at Bradley. I am a co-founder of Bradley's LEGO Club and its current President, as well as a co-founder of Bradley ACES(Aseuality Community and Education) and its current President.
Both clubs offer people a chance to connect with others, be it a shared hobby or shared identity. Leading both clubs has given me a new perspective on creating inclusive spaces that people enjoy.
I also serve as the Vice President for Interactive Media Intermediaries, a student group that collects comments, feedback, kudos, and concerns from students to Share with the Faculty and works to improve the Interactive Media department. I have served on this council for a year; it has given me great insight into managing different expectations and the importance of proper communication to avoid miscommunications.
Outside of school, I enjoy learning new information and pursuing creative hobbies. I love to cook and bake. I build with LEGO bricks and love the problem-solving required to turn a pile of bricks into a dragon.
