I was a programmer and designer for these projects.
During the Summer of 2025, I had an incredible opportunity to assist at the University of Minnesota's Visible Heart Laboratories(VHL). They are a medical research lab with a focus on Cardiology, or the study of the heart.
I attended weekly meetings in person in the room where the first Pacemaker was created and received feedback locally from Doctoral Candidate David Buyck, who spearheaded the VHL's recent push to create accessible educational tools. I also received feedback from a global group of doctors and clients in the United States, Colombia, Japan, and India.
Projects
I worked primarily on Cardiac Pro CHD, a (currently unreleased) application for mobile devices. It models how Congenital Heart Defects affect the flow of blood through the body, as well as the risks different defects create.
My Contributions
Cardiac Pro CHD
● Developed an AI Pathfinding System to model Blood Clots
● Programmed custom Fluid Dynamics (Find a GitHub Link here!)
● Modeled Blood Flow in a Ventricular Septum Defect, Atrial Septum Defect, and a Patent Formale Ovale
● Audibly and Visually Communicated how the CHD can affect patient health
● Retouched a Heart Model using Blendr 4.3
● Streamlined codebase
